Have you noticed that people don't seem to go caroling anymore? Since I can't sing....I'll let you enjoy these guys....
These are some of the reasons that I have not been around Joeuser lately. I decided to launch my Photography business.....Photos of the Heart. So here are a few. View slideshow and 'cause I have to post pics of my kids....One day I will get them to hold still for real pics....

Technically it's not her birthday yet, but we celebrated early because her friends will be busy on her birthday this year! And since she had a birthday tea party with friends.....we had a mini-party again this afternoon with her brother. Watch this article...I'll add some pics from the princess party.
Even though yesterday was technically Veteran's Day, most people are celebrating today. Here is my thanks to all the veteran's out there.... My father My mother My brothers, both of them My sister My grandfather My great-grandfather My husband, Hyperborean Wanderer His father, Big Fat Daddy His grandfather His nephews, both of them (and I'm on the list too.) And thanks to all the joes who are serving...and all the wives and children who are suporting them.
Long story short...military health care can suck. Just imagine a rant....I'm not up to doing it justice. The kids are outside enjoying a warm afternoon. I was taking a *well deserved* nap on the couch after church and Girl asked if she could play outside. I grunted a yes without opening my eyes and told Boy to go out with her. I can hear them playing, so I'm not really worried about it. I can hear them playing 2 different games at the same time. Girl keeps asking Boy, "Do...
Thank you Flickr for motivating me. As I was forcing myself to clean the fridge, I had a great idea for my 365. (I'm doing a project where I take a self portrait every day for a year) and well, it motivated me to clean my fridge a little more than I was planning....Who wants to sit in the mystery goop that congeals under the veggie drawer?
Shameless self promotion...go here and watch.... Link Have you ever written a check or made a credit card payment for some trivial amount? Did you just roll your eyes that you had to swipe a card or write a check for $2? Well, I just topped that. I paid an 'e-bill' to Home Depot for ONE FREAKING CENT! I just recieved a late payment due email and was confused. I paid off the account already.....well, I paid off all but one freaking cent. That's right, I made the last payment and did...
Just as a note.... This is a back end splits. Back end meaning that I have to pop into the trick on the back end of the swing and it's harder than it looks. I've been trying to catch my return for MONTHS.....and I am a dork....you just have to watch and see! I wasn't ready to catch the bar....and I kicked the bar on the very next trick...ouch!
So do you know if something is really "art" or if it's just crap? Take this quiz here Link I've always suspected, but taking this quiz confirmed it. Art can be anything that someone is willing to pay money for....or is dumb enough to be swindled into buying. In that light, here is art. By me. For sale. $75. (the price of one trapeze class) But the fact that I'm willing to sell it probably means I'm not a "real" artist. If you are interested in someone who I think is...
So we had a "Trunk of Treat" at my church last night. For those who don't know what that is, basically everyone shows up and kids trick or treat car to car, instead of house to house. It's great 'cause you don't need to worry about kids getting lost, hurt, or razors in the candy. That being said, sometimes it's a bit rowdy. I *drum roll please* was in charge of it this year and I've spent the last few weeks getting everything worked out. We had tacos to eat before the festivities started...
Watching the news...... I see videos of evacuees taking shelter in a stadium....and somehow I'm not surprised that the reaction to this natural disaster bears almost no resemblence to the post-Katrina era. I just deleted a really long...but really harsh comparison between the pathetic response to Katrina and California's fires..... I could list all the ways, but if you don't get it....then no amount of explaining ever will.
The internet is a great force. It can be used for good (as in using digital flashcards to help me prep for my history test) and not so good (when it's distracting me from using said cards). BUt no fear. I aced the test 100% woo hoo! And in celebration, here are a few of the random things that tore me away from what I *should* be doing. Email....did HW write? IM....did HW message me? Flickr.....any new challenges or ideas? Here...duh. And then there are the odd ones. Link Video...
So my daughter, decided that she wants to be a mommy. I have completely supported her decision (as long as it's stays pretend until there is a ring on her finger). I even have played "babies" for hours on end and rocked her dolls to sleep. But I simply must draw the line at being referred to as GRANDMA.
So today was a happy day. No particular reason why but it was a great day. Here are a few of the things that made me happy today. My friend brought me hot chocolote from Starbucks and the weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying it! My tomato plant is happy and healthy.....soon I will have fresh tomatoes to eat! Maddy decided to color on the sidewalk while she waited to go on a playdate. Her cuteness inspired me to take tons of fun pictures. I haven't been very in...
