Shameless self promotion...go here and watch....Link

Have you ever written a check or made a credit card payment for some trivial amount? Did you just roll your eyes that you had to swipe a card or write a check for $2?

Well, I just topped that. I paid an 'e-bill' to Home Depot for ONE FREAKING CENT! I just recieved a late payment due email and was confused. I paid off the account already.....well, I paid off all but one freaking cent. That's right, I made the last payment and didn't realize that it was $XXXX.01. I think it will cost the bank and Home Depot more to process it! Sigh.

That being said, last year when I started my room addition, I used a Home Depot card becuase it was no payments and no interest for a year. Well the year is just about up and becuase I put off the Home Depot purchases, I was able to pay down the rest of the bank loan that I took out. But it still freaks me out owing money so I couldn't stand it any longer and I couldnt' wait to pay it off....and that's how I ended up paying ONE FREAKING CENT.

Edit: Screw it. This should have clued me in that today was going to end bad. My head hurts, I think I broke my foot, my shoulder is damn near dislocated and I feel fat. Yup....put me in a little pain and I get cranky. Hopefully tomorrow will be better and I won't jack up my performance and look like a fool.

It could have been worse.  I did that on a credit card (paid them xxx.22 instead of xxx.27) and they gouged me for interest since I did not pay off the balance!  The interest was about $9!

Ouch!  As it was my fault, I paid it.  But now I round up on credit cards.  that extra 50 cents is not going to earn me any interest, and sure is going to save me from getting hit with an interest charge!
