Pull over and shoot: You pull over the bar and flip over then "shoot over" the top of the bar for a catch. But the WORST one was this. I tried a one-handed takeoff for the first time. You have to lift the bar, hop off and grab the bar....not bad at all. Unfortunately that was where any semblance of competency ended. My hands were taped up from the blisters and the tape had loosened up...so I couldn't get a good grip on the bar or rotate my wrists properly....so I'm floundering o...

Viva Les Arts Community Theatre has a fantastic children's theater. A friend of mine directed Peter Pan and they held a free performance for children of deployed soldiers tonight. That's us,btw . They made a big deal about making it a special event, so we dressed up and off we went for a night at the theater. Maddy looked a little zoned becuase it was after her bedtime, but she was so cute anyway! Notice the cookies on her chin? The kids loved it. Maddy had to point out Nana (the dog...

Can I pout? What if I stomp my foot on the ground? How about I throw myself to the floor, kick and scream and wail at the top of my lungs until I am blue in the face? Well, it works for kids, but I suppose I'm out of luck. I can whine and cry all I want but the inevitable truth will always be out there. The is nothing I can do. BUT I DON'T HAVE TO LIKE IT! I'm only *wail* 29 *whine*!!!! I refuse to grow up and "act my age". I don't care what people think. I don't care ho...

The first video was a practice.... And the catch.... I was still letting go early. From my point of view I was coming too close and I'd let go too soon, but maybe I will practice this again....

Continuing in the trend of "active parenting", I allowed my daughter to "help" shop for a swimsuit. She was fine for a few minutes, but then became distracted by the potential of hiding in the racks of clothing and then sprinting as far away as possible. We put a stop to THAT and she was expected to either ride in the cart or hold my hand. She complied with the hand holding requirement and then..... She did her famous drop and turn, dislocating her elbow. BUT I DIDN'T NOTICE. Or rat...

A previous post, see here Link , inspired me to run off at the mouth for another assignment. (I'm sure my teacher loves my intentionally controversial articles) Even though it's not really put together very well yet, I'm posting my 1st draft /idea here for your flaming enjoyment...... Many people feel that there is still a great need to overcome inherent sexism and racism in our Nation by promoting equal opportunity laws, and affirmative action. Influential black leaders proclaim that...
