The story of the 20 lb turkey.
Published on December 10, 2004 By lifehappens In Sex & Romance
I'm eating a turkey sandwich.

This is not the sort of thing that a normal person would blog about, but then again....I'm not so normal.

First you need to understand that I love turkey sandwiches. Not the kind from Subway or a Deli, but the kind you make with leftovers from Thanksgiving. I'm refering to the perfect turkey sandwich. Made with real mayo and cranberry sauce, a thick layer of turkey pieces, lightly salted.....Yummmmmm.

So why am I telling you this? Why am I eating Thanksgiving turkey sandwich almost 3 weeks after it was made?

Well, it is love. My husband loves me. He knows I LOVE turkey sandwiches so he made me a 20 lb turkey for Thanksgiving.
Yes, that is 20lbs for 2 adults and a toddler. And he likes stuffing better so he left the majority of the turkey for me.
He made me a huge, ginourmous turkey so I would have lots of leftovers for my favorite meal. He wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have to cook for quite a while. I had to freeze the meat into more managable portions. Today I am working on one of those more manageable portions....and i still have enough in the freezer for at least 15 more sandwiches.

That's at least 15 more times that I will remember how much my husband loves me.....

Wanderer's writing is inspirational, and I look forward to reading D's as well. (If he's even half as good as HW, it'll be worthwhile.)
