a place to put random discourses on life
photo test....
Published on October 27, 2004 By lifehappens In Family Photos
So this is a test....After seeing everyone else's pictures, I wanted to see if I could post photos on my blog.....I'll have to find a good place to store them....I bet this link won't last long.....

I am an avid scrapbooker and this is just one of my many pages.....I love my son's intensity when he is concentrating...The metal embelishment reads, "May you never lose your sense of wonder."

There are times I just can't resist his charm....he's a lot like his dad that way!

Adorable little boy LH! Very nice scrapbook page as well. My wife is also an avid scrapbooker (Stampin' Up demonstrator too, so that gives you a clue!). This is a beautiful page!

For image hosting check out Imageshack. I did a little test article over here, and it has an automatic thumbnail feature. If you want to build them your self (like I like to for my OS customization articles) the trick is as follows. In the following code remember that { is really < and } is really >

I do that so you can see the code, otherwise it turns into actual links.

When you build the link to the picture you want to have the picture open up in its own window when people click on it. It can either be this same window or in a new one, whatever you want (I always make my links open in a new page so folks don't have to hit the back button, just a personal preference). If I were going to make a link to that picture with the thumbnail this is how I would have done it. There are variations, this is just the one I would have opted for, by no means the only or the right one.

{a href="http://www.geocities.com/pamperedstone/scrapbook/Wonder.jpg" target="_blank"}{img src="//www.geocities.com/pamperedstone/scrapbook/Wonder_small.jpg"}{/a}

The first bit tells the link, the target part makes it open in the new window. The second part is what we see as the link. It would be text if I typed there, but as I put in the img tag it becomes the image, and you supply the location of the img. The last part just closes the tag. Doing it all for real below the outcome is:

(I hope this works!)

Edit: Yeah, it did! Hope that makes sense LH!

Bluedev:
Thanks for all the help. I'm still learning how to get my computer to do what I want when I want to do it.....I'm glad to hear your wife sells stampin up....email me and I will order from her!

Sure, but then I have to hit the close button instead. And since I've got Mouse Gestures loaded, it's a quick flick of the wrist to go back a page, but a long journey northwest to get to the close button....

p.s. Firefox with Mouse Gestures is fantastic!

lol, true, true. I tried the gestures a while ago and they just didn't seem to work for me. But it was a while ago. When using Firefox I just like to open everything in tabs. I suppose it is just a personal preference, and since I am the one making the links, I have the power to make them how I want them. Mwahahahahahahahahaha!
