a place to put random discourses on life
Serious therapy will follow....

This afternoon while my darling son was supposed to be sleeping, I heard him crying. So naturally, I ignored it, thinking that he would stop in a few moments. However, it didn't.

I went in his room to give him a hug and tell him to go to sleep. To my not-so-surprise, I found him perched on top of his bookshelf, unable to move up or down, clinging for dear life.

He had been hanging there for over 5 minutes while I waited for him to "calm down". I wonder if this is what causes acrophobia

Ahh the joys of mommyhood!

Oh, the poor little guy!

Wait...wasn't he supposed to be sleeping? Did he think it would be more comfortable on top of the bookcase? Silly guy! *sigh*

Yes, the joys of mommyhood...

Wow, haven't had that one happen. Some friends of ours however, well, their son would have just jumped off. Crazy kids. Mine are too scaredy cats to do that sort of thing!

my girls would have jumped off...most likely on the bed, the dog, or any other suitable landing spot.

I think he normally would have jumped off, except the box of toy cars that he stood on to get up had fallen over.....He has already had the experienc of nosediving onto a pile of hot wheels....ouch.

I'll give him this....He never repeats a stupid stunt. He just finds new ways to accomplish his craziness.
