Bubble boy is proving to be more like me than I ever imagined. This afternoon, he was facinated by his alligator puppet. Specifically, he liked to get really close and have me "rawrrrr" at him and pretend to eat his toes, or tummy....you get the picture. After a few minutes, I got bored. (Who says my attention span has to be longer than my 2 year old?) So he progressed to "feeding" the alligator a cookie.
He came and sat on my lap and explained this to me in great detail. "Look Mom, here you have an alligator and a cookie. Then you give the Alligator a cookie. It's delicious" What comes out is "Mom, Rawr, Coo-Kie. Rawr Coo-kie Good"
Here is the part that reminds me of my childhood self....He comes up and proceeds to explain how he wants a cookie for the "Rawr". As a child, I had a "human bean" beanie baby. (I just remember that because she had a jelly bean on her butt that said human beam. Remember this is pre-Beanie Baby craze, it was just a bean bag with a head. Anyway, I used to take the doll to my mom and hid behind the door and ask in my "baby voice" for cookies. Typical kid behavior.
I think it's cool to see him do stuff I used to do....as long as he doesn't repeat my teenage years.
