I just got a birthday box in the mail....thanks to BFD and Mama Charlie!

I recently bemoaned how I must be an adult because I was excited about getting a real life, frost-free freezer. Yeah, I was happy. Too happy. I must be an adult.

Actually, it's probably about time. My birthday is tomorrow. I have less than 2 hours left of being in my 20s. I suppose I am an adult....

But back to the issue at hand. Mama Charlie sent me a rockin' cool box. She sent a cookbook full of recipies that you prep and freeze so that you have quick, healthy meals in the freezer. A very cool cookbook for me, since I'm really bad about planning dinner! Plus she included all sorts of useful stuff, like freezer bags and stuff to make freezer jam.

So THANKS MOM!! You are cool!

(but I guess that loving this gift means I am actually an adult now......sigh)

The lady has four or five certificates proving she is qualified to make a living four or five different ways...she plays with her kids...she is thrilled to be able to fly through the air with the greatest of ease....She may be closing in on adulthood, but there is no way that Dana looses the inner child. Happy Birthday.

Am I the only one who's told you that TODAY? *GRIN* That's why I waited. I swear.

...."Mom, you don't look any taller than you were at 29."

Oooh! That kid says the cleverest, most insightful, innocent things! Now can you imagine if we grew taller on every birthday...the world would be a strange place.

As for being an adult because you're excited about a frost-free freezer...hmm, well maybe even your kids are excited about it too because they'll be getting some awesome, pre-planned, pre-cooked, ready-to-eat homemade meals! I think my kids would have cause for excitement about something like that too.

But like BFD implied, I think you've mastered lots of things, the best of which may be being an adult and a child at the same time!!!
