If you didn't catch a previous article, I'll say it again.....Hyperborean Wanderer will very shortly (at an unspecified date) be wandering a lot less. He is in fact, coming home for R&R.
His son is understandably excited. He keeps telling me how that "when I see my dad at the airport, I'm going to run up and hug him so fast that he falls down!"
Today, I suggested that the kids play with chalk on the back porch and that developed into the idea that they write "Welcome Home Dad" on the sidewalk out front (when he comes home)
He expressed concern that if it rained the chalk would wash off and came up with a suggestion.
"Mom, I KNOW!!! We can use PAINT! That way when it rains it doesn't wash off! That would be a GREAT idea, right?"
I love my kid.
