Dang it.

I'm done.

I TRIED to read slow.

I read it.

Mostly Twice.

Damn it.

Now I have nobody to talk to about it!

So I was on page 702.....Harry Potter is facing his nemesis.....and a little girl comes up to me

"Mommy?"

"I'm hungry. Will you make me pancakes?" *extra cute look on face*

sigh.

nothing. (grump) I dont' want to leave spoilers for anyone else....sigh. I liked it but I dont' know. Now that it's done....hmmmm. kind of a letdown. Not because the ending was bad (although the epilouge did just cram it all in there while leaving big questions...didn't it?) but more because I feel like..."so, hmm, now what?"

There are plenty of people disecting the book / series and pulling up inconsistancies, most of which I did not notice. I did notice a few things but beh, who cares. It was still fun....and just a book.

My son's a little upset with me. We'd ordered a copy to be delivered on Saturday. No biggie right? He was supposed to get to read it first. His mistake was not being there when it was delivered.

I started about 11 AM on Saturday. Except for a brief nap and cooking dinner (total, about 90 minutes not spent reading), I read straight through 'til I was finished. About 10 minutes before midnight on Saturday. And my wife and son both give me evil looks 'cause I want to talk about it and they want me to shut up.

I didn't notice too many little things, but I did notice that it's considerably more adult than the previous books.

We picked it up on Saturday, but as I was re-reading 5 and 6 (I just don't really remember anything about #6, and I think I will enjoy 7 more if the events of 6 are fresh in my mind) I left it in Utah with my wife.  Won't be able to get it for three weeks.  Good thing I am busy.
