a place to put random discourses on life
I can't resist

As most of you know, I am taking flying trapeze lessons. My son, Connor loves it too. He got to do a trick the other day and was thrilled. He also had a blast seeing a children's theater production of Peter Pan.

The owner of the trapeze is named Peter Gold. (I swear I couldn't stop myself)

I explained to my son that Peter is really Peter Pan all grown up. See, when he left Never Never Land, Tinkerbell didnt' want to come so he doesn't have any pixie dust and can't fly anymore. So he built this trapeze because he loves to fly and this is as close as he can get.

Connor's eyes were as big as saucers. He bought it hook, link and sinker. Now I just need to cue Peter in so he doesn't give me up.....

I just can't resist.

I've personally gone back and forth on this issue... I don't think my 7-year old believes in Santa due to my flip-flopping. But that is one sweet story.

I think this is the greatest story I have ever heard. That chances of the guys name being Peter and that his clases have to do with being in the air and your son having watched a Peter Pan show are incredible. And you didn't even noticed that you were still connecting Peter Pan to what you said. I'll show you:

He bought it hook, link and sinker.

See the word? It's right there. H.....o....o.....k. So he thinks that Peter Pan, he thinks he does flying trapeze lessons because Tinkerbell did not go with him and so he can not fly and he bought it "hook" line and sinker. LOL. I love children (in a non-sexual, non-perverted way of course).
