a place to put random discourses on life

I'm so proud of my little boy. He is really such a good kid. He must have overheard me talking with another mom that morning. She told me that she goes through her kids toys before Christmas. The broken ones are trashed, the outgrown ones are packed away for the youngest to get later and then each child takes ones they don't need/want that are nice and gives them away to Families in Crisis or other charity.

That afternoon as we were driving home, his little voice pipped up from the back seat. "Hey mom? I don't need Santa to give me any presents. I have lots of toys. I don't need any more because I have enough."

"So what should Santa do with all the toys?"

"Some kids don't have toys, they pro'bly got lost. He should give them to the kids who don't have toys."

*I had such a big lump in my throat....my little boy is the sweetest kid. I hope he stays that way as long as possible.

Let's remember this is the boy who advocated the use of missles as a kinetic solution to the turkey overpopulation problem.
