a place to put random discourses on life

Rain can clean anything.....that's because the water is blue.

My dad is so strong that he can scare away monsters and aliens. That's because he is a soldier. When I grow up I want to be in the Army like my dad 'cause he's cool.

(After going to the bathroom) I don't need to wash my hands. (looks carefully on his hands) I don't see any germs.

Why do we have to have Wednesday?

Milk is wet so it will clean my teeth. (as a reason to avoid a toothbrush)

HAHAHAHA

Those are great! My first son had a treasure trove of little sayings like that....my youngest isn't there yet.

I especially love the milk one! That is a smart cookie.

my 4 year old, in Head Start, said something at school that I find very interesting (as most 4 or 5 yr olds wouldn't say something like this). The teacher said he said this, and in fact, says things like this all the time.

He was going to one of his classes (speech therapy, I believe), when he saw a little boy in a wheel chair. Christian (my son) said: Look, that boy is in a wheel chair. He cannot walk, but if he could, he would want to."

One day, on his way to speech therapy (he really doesn't need it anymore, as he just never "shuts up" now), he saw the nurse. He said: "Look, there is Nurse 'so-and-so', she is the school nurse. She helps kids when they are sick at school".

It is strange, but to Christian, everything, and everyone, has a story behind it/them.

As for my youngest (3 yr old boy), he has several little things he says now too. One, is when he starts running across the yard, or the house...or wherever his little feet is running, he shouts: "Run like the wind!!"

I watch wrestling (the older wrestling from the 80s), and have several dvd's. I was watching a match a couple months ago of Jerry Lawler fighting someone, and lawler was hitting the guy, then kissed his fist, then punched him. Jake was sitting there watching it with me. After that, he now nearly always kisses his fist before he hits me (while we are play-wrestling). He also watched a match with Dusty Rhodes, where Rhodes did his fist twirling before he hit some guy. He now does that too.

Little kids are just too cool...especially if they are your own

HAha! These are some really clever lines! Especially the toothbrush one, hehe!

Funny to see how their little minds work and how they have a logic of their own!

Well, I try to remember what the kids are saying and doing every month and write it down somewhere....they change so fast, They drop the hillarious things they say today for new stuff every few weeks. See what you have to look forward to?

Hee hee hee. We spend the first few years trying to get them to talk and walk......

he shouts: "Run like the wind!!"

Let me guess, Does he like Toy Story?

The milk works for little children, but Men know that to really kill the germs on teeth, you need to drink beer!  The alcohol does it.

Haha, that's so cute. The things kids come up with....I had an allergic reaction last night to something I ate, my daughter goes, relax mommy it's only potatoe chips! That when I was itching like crazy and dialing my on call nurse while trying not to freak out. Kids! It kinda put things into perspective when they come up with their little quips though doesn't it?!
