a place to put random discourses on life
For those who are too small to step up to the plate and take responsibility?

This is my daughter.

My little girl is learning about temper tantrums.

She is trying to perfect the art of throwing herself on the floor as dramatically as possible and bursting into tears.

She's very good at it.

Except when she looks up out of the corner of one eye to see how the judges are rating her performance.

While I am sure there will be many many cute stories and tales of her adorable, cute behaviour, I am putting this on the record today.

She is a drama queen.

A brat.

But only occassionally.

And then my sweet little bug is back.

Until the next time.

The words at the bottom of the page read...."Poor girl, you just HATE it when the wind pushes you around"

(This taken moments before a meltdown)

Nice picture. And of course she throw a tantrum after you took it, you forgot to ask permission

Very cute child...even if she is at mock 4 and getting ready to hit 10! hahaha.

My kids don't bother with tantrums because they know I can throw one much worse..ha.  (Sad but TRUE)

I don't know how you keep a straight face when she peeks at her audience...that would crack me up.

After 4, I learned the difference.  My kids learned too!  So now, they dont try it on me, they work on my wife to get me to go along with them!  At least they are using logic and reasoning!

MY son is very smart.  He can convince my wife to buy water during a monsoon!

Her face looks a lot like you in that picture. That is a pretty picture of her. Sorry a meltdown followed.

I wish I could offer some advice or consoling words about the tantrums, but I'm similarly frustrated over here too. It's like walking on eggshells to keep a toddler happy. If you don't give them enough of whatever they go nuts, but giving them too much attention makes them spoiled.

I just dunno. *Throws up arms*

Could be worse - mine started off that way.

On the bright side, she's a hell of a writer.

Hug the hell out of her.

um...I hope that doens't mean I'm cranky all the time!

Don't worry about it. I've noticed that if you refuse to give them attention then they quit. (Not to say I ignore them, but I refuse to acknowlege the inapproprioate behaviour except to remind them that "that behaviour is not allowed here. We don't act like that." Surprisingly enough, it works.....even on kids that don't belong to me.

It's a skill....how many people can look so cute when they are angry? Actually today she almost topped it. I picked up her sippy cup to return it to the fridge and she put her little hands on her hips, scrunched up her face and said, "PUT DOWN". I barely had time to remind her to say "please" before I cracked up!

Could be worse - mine started off that way...and I wrote this today
just in case
someday in the future
if you ever think
we didn’t do enough

this is my pre-emptive defense.

What more can we say or do? very good BTW

I like what you do, continue this way.
